    Songs that Shaped Me

    Join Luke Viertel for an evening of music exploring his musical history and the road that has taken him from a boy singing at the dinner table to professional musician across the cabaret, jam-band, and singer-songwriter genres.

    Mixing classic favorites pulled straight from his Dad’s CD cabinet and his own original music, Luke is excited to bring this brand new collection of songs and stories to the Opus Stage for “Now Hear This” in collaboration with GMix.

    Luke Viertel is an active pianist, singer, arranger, and music director working and living in Cedar Rapids, IA. After receiving his Bachelor of Music in Performance from Coe College, Luke began performing locally and regionally as a solo artist and with groups such as The Fez, Mirage, and Dr. Z’s Experiment.

    Luke arranges, music directs. and performs in the world of Cabaret including recent shows with Amy Friedl Stoner, Divapalooza, and multiple appearances at “Cabaret in the Courtyard” at the historic Brucemore mansion.
