The Metropolitan Orchestra Festival is a combined effort by the orchestra directors of the Cedar Rapids Community School District, the Linn-Mar Community School District, the Iowa City School District, and the Mount Vernon School District in partnership with the Orchestra Iowa School. Over 400 of the top string students from the metropolitan and surrounding area have been selected to participate in this festival.
