    Masterworks V

Get going to Scandinavia. With composers from Finland, Norway, and Denmark, Masterworks V is full of Nordic flair. Start with the delicate melancholy of Sibelius’s Valse triste – A melancholic waltz of memories both beautiful and somber. Pianist Winston Choi dives into the icy and emotional depths of Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto. Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No. 4, “The Inextinguishable,” finishes the program in fiery, fierce, and dramatic style.
