An Iowa City native, she is celebrated for her dynamic and deeply expressive performances that captivate audiences worldwide. As described by Fanfare Magazine, Katya is a “phenomenal instrumentalist” presenting “dramatic and convincing performances” of “technical excellence, emotional intensity, and unity of purpose”. For this exciting presentation of powerful masterpieces, she will be joined by special guest pianists Dr. Ksenia Nosikova and Henrique Rabelo. Featuring music by Bach, Dohnanyi, and Brahms, this concert is a debut presentation of the repertoire Katya will be performing in Switzerland later this month. One of nine violinists chosen worldwide out of over 2400 applicants, Katya was invited to participate in the legendary Verbier Festival Solo Academy.
