Bass-Baritone Kevin Deas, recently on the national tour of Porgy and Bess, joined Orchestra Iowa for works from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess Suite. The program, which kicked off Orchestra Iowa’s 93rd concert season, also includes Bernstein’s Three Dance Episodes from On the Town, Overture to Candide, and Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, as well as Kevin Deas singing several selections from Copland’s Old American Songs.
