Orchestra Iowa presents Holiday Spectacular
Orchestra Iowa spreads holiday cheer through classic melodies
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – November 2014 – Orchestra Iowa will present Holiday Spectacular, a concert celebrating the holiday season, on December 20 and 21 at the Paramount Theatre.
Let your heart soar as Orchestra Iowa heralds the holidays and rings in the New Year with more merry guest artists than ever before! Gather your family and friends to celebrate the season with a mix of timeless classics, audience sing-alongs, the thrilling sounds of “The Mighty Wurlitzer” organ, special yuletide surprises and warm cheer for all.
“This year’s Holiday Spectacular will be bigger and bolder than ever before,” said Maestro Timothy Hankewich. “We have many special guests and we are once again sharing the stage with Chorale Midwest, Preucil School’s Espressivo Strings and the Orchestra Iowa School’s Discovery Chorus. The Paramount “Rockettes” will perform to one of my own holiday arrangements and the Carillonneurs Handbell Ensemble will make the five golden rings from The Twelve Days of Christmas very special!”
Tickets for the performance range in price from $19 – $49. Discounted tickets are available to college students (with ID), youth 18 and under and to groups of 10 or more. Tickets may be purchased online at orchestraiowa.org or by calling 319.366.8203.
