Music in the Schools
An important part of Orchestra Iowa’s work is in our community schools. With a strong commitment to area youth, Orchestra Iowa provides in-classroom experiences and opportunities for elementary students in the Cedar Rapids, and Linn-Mar school districts. Music in the Schools program impacts 8,800 area students each year. Professional musicians visit classrooms to perform symphonic music, show students their instruments, and even demonstrate the physics of sound production.
