The Musical Pool
For anyone who has ever been to Now Hear This at the Opus Concert Cafe, you know that it is normal for the series’ curators Lincoln and Noel to be doing something on the side or in the background. You can most often find Lincoln at the sound board, while Noel introduces the evening’s performers. Unknown to many, these two happen to be performing artists themselves.
When our original February artist had to step away, we realized it gave us the perfect opportunity. The February Now Hear This show will feature Lincoln Ginsberg and Noel VanDenBosch in an evening of songs and story-telling. A night unlike any other, get to know the people behind the scenes and why we are passionate about this project.
While Lincoln is all too familiar to the stage, he is not familiar with having to be on a stage as himself, let alone performing his own works (which he will be doing one night only!). From musical theatre to Irish jigs, Lincoln has dipped his toes in many musical pools since his first gig of 4 years old right next door at the Paramount Theatre. When not on a stage or at the sound board, Lincoln is the production assistant and recording engineer at GMix East.
Noel VanDenBosch has acted on multiple stages throughout the Corridor including Riverside Theatre, Theatre Cedar Rapids, Mirrorbox Theatre, City Circle Theatre Company and more. When she’s not acting, she is often backstage. Noel loves having a memorized script, so she is excited (read: slightly terrified) for the challenge of being herself while telling stories onstage for NHT. This will be a night to remember!
