CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – With COVID-19 continuing to evolve, Orchestra Iowa has decided to cancel all performances in the months of January and February to ensure the safety of our community, musicians, and staff. Beyond this timeframe, a decision on whether to continue with the 2020-21 Season as originally planned will be announced February 1, 2021.
“Although Orchestra Iowa’s stage continues to remain dark, we are confident we will make a triumphant return with the help and support of our beloved patrons,” said Jeffrey Collier, Chief Executive Officer for Orchestra Iowa. “In the meantime, we encourage the community to engage with our Music Director, Tim Hankewich, virtually on Happy Hour with Maestro Tim. You can find him with a cocktail in hand every Tuesday at 5 p.m. on our Facebook Page chatting away with his latest guest. Our loyal audience has tuned into this program week after week since May, and we continue to hear rave reviews!”
All ticketholders are currently being notified directly of the cancelations and will be offered a variety of options for their tickets. All questions can be directed to the Orchestra Iowa Ticket Office at 319.366.8203 or tickets@orchestraiowa.org.
