Ticket and Venue Policies

TICKET POLICY

Tickets may be purchased in person at the ticket office, online, or via the telephone. The Ticket Office is located at 119 Third Avenue SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Ticket Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If patrons have questions, they can email tickets@orchestraiowa.org for additional assistance. The box office is open two hours prior to the start of an orchestra performance, through intermission. The ticket office will open three hours prior to all other performances in the Paramount. The online Ticket Office is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can be found at www.artsiowa.com. Patrons purchasing online may print their tickets at home.

All ticket sales are final. Artists, dates, programs, and times are subject to change without refund. Additional fees may apply to all ticket prices. The resale or attempted resale of a ticket at a price in excess of face value is grounds for seizure and cancellation without compensation. Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotion or other trade purposes without the written consent of the issuer. Attendees assume all risk and danger incidental to the performance, whether occurring prior to, during or subsequently to, the actual performance. Management reserves the right to deny entry or eject any attendee from the facility in violation of venue policies or displaying inappropriate behavior. Ejected attendees will not receive a refund for the ticket or be compensated in any way. Attendees are strictly prohibited from recording or transmitting any picture, video, audio or cell phone reproduction of event. Attendees consent to having their image or likeness appear in any form of media or reproduction in whole or in part of this ticketed event. Outside food, beverages, camera and recording devices are prohibited inside the venues at all times. Arts Iowa is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.

Please note that all attendees, including children over the age of one, are required to have their own ticket. Please see each individual performance description to determine if the event is suitable for children, and remove children from the theater should they disturb other patrons. Due to fire/safety regulations, child carriers are not allowed to be placed in the aisles or walkways.

ENTRY

For most performances, doors open approximately an hour before showtime, and patron seating begins 30 minutes prior to showtime.

RECORDING, PICTURING, & VIDEOTAPING

Audio recording and videotaping are prohibited at all performances. In some cases, still photography may be permitted, as long as the flash has been disabled and that the photographing does not disturb the artists or other patrons.

FOOD & DRINK

Outside food and drink are not permitted in any of our venues. Concession stands are open for most public events and patrons can purchase water, snacks, sodas and alcoholic beverages at the venue. Food and drink are permitted in the auditorium on a show by show basis. Please watch for signs posted at the concession stands indicating which shows prohibit food and drink inside the auditorium. Each venue offers lounge areas where patrons may enjoy food and drink while mingling with friends before events, during intermission and following the performance.

ONLINE PURCHASING

Please note that our online ticket purchasing interface is idealized for computer desktop viewing. Arts Iowa is not responsible for ticket order errors occurring when purchased via tablet or mobile device. EMERGENCIES

In the event of an emergency, please notify the nearest staff person. Tell them what the emergency is, where the affected patron is located and provide as much information about the person as possible, including name, age, medical condition and emergency contacts. Do not hesitate to call 911 if the emergency appears to be life-threatening. In the event of a fire, please calmly follow the instructions of the venue staff and exit the building as quickly as possible. In the event of severe weather, please follow instructions of staff as they direct you toward safety. If you or members of your party are not able to utilize stairs, please notify them.

RESCHEDULED PERFORMANCES

In the case of a show postponement, ticket-holders may request refunds at the original point of purchase. Refund requests must be received 14 days before the new show date. Written requests must be postmarked 14 days before the new show date.
