Cindy Shadrick Voice Studio

Cindy Shadrick Voice Studio will be joining the Orchestra Iowa School of Music this fall. Having created the area’s largest private voice studio over the past decade, Cindy Shadrick has become one of the most in-demand voice instructors, clinicians, and performers in the area. “I couldn’t be more excited to bring my studio to Orchestra Iowa. With their rehearsal spaces, performance spaces, and the ability to bring in more vocal instructors, we can continue to build on my philosophy of ‘every voice deserves to be heard,’” Ms. Shadrick shared.

Ms. Shadrick will be joining an all-star faculty of some of the most accomplished musicians in the area and aims to expand the school’s vocal offerings. Orchestra Iowa School Director of Education Myron McReynolds commented about their enthusiasm and excitement about Ms. Shadrick joining the OIS: “We are excited to bring onboard the Cindy Shadrick Voice Studio. We know the long history of the Orchestra Iowa School, and the many benefits it provides will allow our new vocal students with enriched opportunities, while Cindy’s established roster of students will provide an infusion of vibrancy to the School. The complementary nature of this new relationship will bring out the best for everyone involved!”. Cindy instructs over 100 students per year, and many have gone on to become professional musicians, actors, and educators. “My focus as a teacher is to promote healthy singing while creating quality musicians,” says Cindy. “I love helping students of all ages and backgrounds prepare for performances, auditions, competitions, and college music and theatre programs. But my biggest goal is to help each individual find their own unique voice and to use it with confidence.”

Not only will Cindy be bringing her large studio of private vocal students to Orchestra Iowa, she will also be creating new classes, ensembles, and bringing on new teachers to expand the program at the Orchestra Iowa School of Music. “I am so thrilled to add many new opportunities to the School’s offerings such as an adult women’s choir, musical theatre classes, show choir prep classes, special education choirs and classes, master classes with professional singers throughout the country, and much more.”

Cindy will begin teaching at Orchestra Iowa School on August 29, 2022. For more information on Orchestra Iowa School’s new vocal program, email Cindy Shadrick at cshadrick@orchestraiowa.org or visit artsiowa.com/school and cindyshadrick.com.
