Bella Hristova
Bella Hristova last wowed Cedar Rapids and Iowa City audiences with the Sibelius violin concerto in February 2020. Ms. Hristova frequently appears with The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and has performed recitals at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
The Orchestra Iowa Discovery Chorus
One of three youth choruses based in the Orchestra Iowa School, the Discovery Chorus is designed to help young singers become acquainted with quality choral music and build good vocal technique. This chorus gives students in grades 4-6 the unique chance to perform with a professional symphony orchestra! These are the angelic voices heard during the Nutcracker Ballet and Holiday Spectacular every year.
Blake Shaw & Friends
Blake Shaw, one of Opus Concert Café’s regular performers, is a double bassist, composer/arranger, and teacher based in Iowa City. Mr. Shaw and friends will delight Gala attendees with their outstanding jazz stylings.
