Orchestra Iowa is seeking new members to join its chorus. We have opening for all vocal parts. Chorus members will have the option to perform at Holiday Spectacular (December 20th-22nd), Masterworks V: A Solemn Devotional (April 12-13), or both. Must be 16 or older to audition.
Auditions will take place on Saturday, September 21st, 2024 and Saturday, September 28th, 2024 between 9am and 9pm at the Orchestra Iowa building in Cedar Rapids, IA. Canidates are asked to sing the national anthem acapella. Sign up for a 5-minute time slot here.
Members are expected to attend all chorus only rehearsals (may miss up to two rehearsals with notice) and must commit to attending all rehearsals with the orchestra as well as all performances. Members are expected to purchase their own piano / vocal score for Mozart Requiem (Barentreiter/Sussmayer edition).
