Due to weather, Rick Jensen was unable to be here this weekend to perform Dreamchaser. While we are so disappointed Rick can’t be here, we are delighted to have Luke Viertel joining Amy at the piano!
Amy Friedl Stoner is back at Opus with the show that NYC’s Gerry Geddes called, “…one of the most stylish, assured, intelligent, entertaining New York Cabaret debut’s I’ve had the please to witness.” Amy will be joined onstage by her acclaimed music director, Rick Jensen. “Dreamchaser” is a look at life – with the love of music leading the way – through the songs of Billy Joel, Cole Porter, Jason Robert Brown and more. Interwoven through the music are stories of her experiences in New York, both onstage and off.
Directed by the award-winning Lina Koutrakos (NYC), Amy debuted ”Dreamchaser“ at The Metropolitan Room in NYC in 2017, then went on to perform it in St. Louis and again back in New York at Don’t Tell Mama’s in 2018. Amy is thrilled to finally bring this show home to Cedar Rapids.
“Amy Friedl Stoner has shown up on the cabaret scene as a confident, classy performer…” – Chris Struck, Cabaret Scenes Magazine
